A bit more about me.
I'm an avid reader and love books and literary culture. After spending eight years as a corporate attorney working for a large law firm in San Francisco, CA, I decided to shift my career to better align with what I truly love: editing non-fiction writing. I enjoy working with great authors to make their books, essays, or articles sharp, easy to read, and unforgettable. I hold both a BA and JD from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I currently live with my husband and son in Asheville, North Carolina.
How I Work.
I edit both self-published and acquired material. For articles and essays, I work best when authors send me a complete draft. For books, I can edit after receiving an entire manuscript or chapter-by-chapter. My focus is on the top-line, addressing issues like structure, syntax, and diction. Though I do my best to help with grammar and punctuation, I am not a copy editor.
